Dr Emma Schofield
Research Officer
Emma completed a Bachelor of Science (Neuroscience) at the University of New South Wales in 2001, completing a thesis on histological and macroscopic patterns of cellular degeneration in frontotemporal dementia (FTD). In 2007 she completed a PhD in Anatomy, studying the relationship between cellular brain pathology and clinical disease progression in progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP) with Professor Glenda Halliday at NeuRA. Emma has a keen interest in identifying targets for therapeutic intervention in neurodegenerative dementias, and is currently investigating potential biological markers for the heterogeneous pathology underlying FTD.
